2.- Use the search bar to find the medical facility or doctor (e.g., “Helios Occupational Medicine + city/postal code”).

3.- Open the profile of the doctor's office and click on “Book an appointment.”

4.- Select the appointment type / reason (e.g., “Examination for passenger transport license" P-SCHEIN or similar).

5.- Choose a date and time.

6.- Fill in the additional message / notes section → enter “MARS” as a keyword there.

7.- Click “Confirm appointment.”

A police certificate "O" is necessary for administrative purposes. You cannot request it yourself; it is requested directly from the competent authority when applying for a passenger transport permit.

An application for a passenger transport permit is submitted to the competent authority for issuing driver's licenses. You must go in person and bring the necessary documentation (medical certificate, ophthalmologist's certificate).

Processing time varies. It usually takes several weeks (2 to 8 weeks). Plan ahead.

A passenger transport permit is usually valid for five years and then needs to be renewed. Renewal requires similar medical certificates and evidence as the initial application.

You must submit a new application before the permit expires and provide the necessary medical certificates again.

Category D or D1 (bus driver's license) does not essentially replace a passenger transport permit. Therefore, a passenger transport permit is always required for rental car drivers.
